“I had an excellent experience with Pure Maintenance. Jack came out and immediately found the mold we had been suspecting for awhile. He did such an amazing job walking me through the process and advantage of Pure Maintenance that we immediately booked remediation. I was so afraid of choosing a company that didn't fix the problem the first time just so we would have to spend more. But Jack was more concerned about my families health then even getting the account. He not only scheduled us for removal but walked us through the steps necessary to make sure the mold didn't return. My husband was suffering from brain fog and headaches. My son had been to the ER multiple times last year because of breathing issues. Since getting the mold removed my son and husband's issues have disappeared. I was shocked at the difference in the air sampling from before and after. Pure Maintenance has some of the best customer service around. We are so thankful to Jack for giving us the information we needed to make the best decision. And Ri for removing the mold.”

“We had a very good experience with Pure Air of Alabama. Jack Ingram was knowledgeable and professional as he explained the process to us. First Gavin cleaned out the ducts thoroughly and then double checked them again. Ri Greene then arrived to dry fog the hvac and duct work. He also removed and cleaned the registers and the walls and ceiling near the registers. It was all completed within 24 hours. My husband and I are already breathing better and it’s only been 48 hours!”

When To Act

When you need mold damage restoration.

If the musty smell follows you from room to room even when nothing is visible on the walls, that’s a signal. Same goes for air quality tests showing high spore counts in areas that never had a leak, or family members whose coughing and sinus issues haven’t calmed down after a cleanup. Clothes, carpets, and upholstery that still smell funky after washing are another tell, and so are allergy-like symptoms that only show up at home. Birmingham homes deal with months of humidity, heavy spring storms, and long AC cooling cycles that push condensation into attics and crawl spaces. When a slow roof leak or a damp crawl space has been running for six months before anyone notices, the problem usually isn’t confined to the stain on the drywall anymore. By that point it’s an air and environment issue, and spot treatment won’t touch it.

The Process

Our mold damage restoration process.

Restoring a mold-damaged home means treating the whole house, not just the patch where growth was visible. Pure Air Alabama’s patented VaPURE technology handles both steps of that. First, we fog an antimicrobial sterilant through the entire property. It reaches walls, ceilings, flooring, HVAC ductwork, wall cavities, attics, crawl spaces, and the connected air in the building. That treats active mold and brings down airborne spore counts. Then we apply a second antimicrobial coating that bonds to the surfaces of your home to help them resist regrowth. People and pets stay out during the treatment itself. After the treatment cycle and proper ventilation, most families are back home the same day. You get the whole house treated in one visit instead of chasing mold from one room to the next.

Pricing

Mold Damage Restoration cost in Birmingham, AL.

Pricing depends on the size of the property and how widely the contamination has spread through the air and soft materials. A 1,500 square foot home with one affected room is a very different job from a 3,000 square foot home reading high on every air test. Because VaPURE treats the entire home in one visit, it usually comes in well below traditional room-by-room remediation. We do pre-treatment air quality testing, walk you through what we find, and give you a flat quote before any work starts. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons partway through the job.
